These ones are made of mustard wool with a teeny tiny houndstooth type of weave featuring greyish blue and brown threads. They are completely lined with brown cotton. Both the front closure and the outer side of the back seam are ornated with ivory cotton lace trims and dark brown braided trim. The spats have been finished on the top edge and the front closure with olive green satin bias tape.
The front closure featuring machine-set two-piece dark metal eyelets closes with matching dark brown satin ribbon laces that allow a good fit. There's a tab attached to the laces to close the gap nicely.
There's an elastic strap underneath the shoe sole that closes with a snap button to keep the spat in place. Elastic ensures a nice and firm adjustment to any kind of shoe so the spat stays in place covering the foot and the shoe. Snap buttons can be replaced on the elastic to achieve a really perfect fit.
