Ballet headpiece - Gamzatti, La Bayadere

Romantic ballet named La Bayadère takes place in India. The main character is Nikiya, the temple slave, who is in love with Solor, a warrior. The Brahman, main priest of the temple, wants Nikiya for himself, while the Rajah arranges Solor's marriage with Gamzatti, his princess daughter...

I performed Gamzatti this end-of-term gala. When I was told I was dancing this role, I decided to make my own costumes and stuff to go onstage. So, this is my version of Gamzatti's headpiece, a tall and ostentatious tiara with lots of crystals, pearls and golden beads and furnitures. Everyone told me it sparkled incredibly under stage lights ^^ It's very light and comfortable to wear despite it's size. The structure is made of golden-bronze aluminium wire so it's shapable to anyone's head size, and it features several combs to set it on one's head easily.
